Join us in person on Monday October 25 us at 7:00pm at Crimson in Washington, DC for an amazing tasting. Your $25 ticket includes entry to the event, a tasting pour of every whisky in the tasting, and small bites.

Did you know that Wednesday is national Whiskey Sour Day? Join the team from the Whiskey Library for a Whiskey Sour Day Happy Hour in-person at Gatsby, just across from the ballpark in DC's Navy Yard neighborhood. Before summer comes to a close, come on out to celebrate the season -- and of course, the sour. Whiskey sours and other cocktails featuring Gentleman Jack, as well as passed hors-d'oeuvres, are complimentary. No RSVP is required, and the more the merrier, so bring a friend! See you there!

We’re pleased to host James Wills of Kilchoman and Jared Card of Impex Beverages to explore some of their favorite offerings from Kilchoman, Islay’s only independent farm distillery. We'll be tasting five unique Kilchoman expressions, including The Whiskey Library's 2016 single cask release, so there will be something for everyone.

Take a walk through the history of bourbon. Join Whiskey Library co-founder Brian Thompson and Old Forester’s James Joseph to taste and talk about how bourbon has changed over its 200+ year history. Along the way, we’ll cover early bourbon and batching barrels, the Bottled In Bond Act, double barreling, prohibition, and to bring us to modern times, Whiskey Library’s own private single barrel selection.

Cook along virtually with chef Charlie Loomis of Food Network fame, as he walks you through how to make the most perfect shrimp and smoked cheddar polenta. During the interactive broadcast with Chef Charlie, the Whiskey Library will also walk you through using Old Forester 1897 Bourbon to make the Fall Passion, a Tiki-inspired cocktail with seasonal spice, and a Spruce Old Fashioned, our winter twist on the Old Fashioned.

Together with Jack Rose Dining Saloon and Brown-Forman, the Whiskey Library is putting on a one-of-a-kind virtual cocktail competition for Washington, DC and bringing the excitement (and cocktails) to you!

What is included on a whiskey label, and what does it actually mean? In this tasting, Tim Heuisler, Beam's American Whiskey Ambassador for the East Coast, will walk us through how to read an American whiskey label, what has to be on every label, what specific terms legally mean, and why you should care. We’ll taste four whiskeys and talk about how from America’s first whiskey label law in 1897 through to today, American whiskey regulation has influenced whiskey itself.

Since we can’t travel to Scotland, we’re bringing Scotland to DC’s living room. Join The Whiskey Library and Glenfiddich National Ambassador Tracie Franklin as she guides you through a virtual tasting and journey through the Glenfiddich distillery in Dufftown, Scotland.

We will go into the history of what led to the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, the great distillers that pushed for its passing, and how distilleries like Heaven Hill are still producing amazing Bottled-in-Bond products!
